Why 2 tonnes?
To limit the effects of climate change, the Paris Agreement (2015) set a target: to limit the rise in temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels by the end of the century.
To achieve this, we need to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, in particular by reducing them down to 2 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per inhabitant per year by 2050.
Today, the average French person emits 9.5 tCO2e per year - vs 12 tCO2e in Japan and Russia, 19 tCO2e in Canada or 21 tCO2e in the USA.
In less than 30 years, we need to divide our emissions by 5 to reach this target.
"But how can we reduce our emissions? How can we take effective action for the climate?"

In your opinion, is it better to...
The 2tonnes workshop invites participants to explore the future as a team, and try to limit climate change by achieving the famous 2 tons per person per year, by 2050.
To ensure a systemic understanding of the issues at stake, the workshop takes into account both the individual and collective dimensions of the subject, without forgetting the role of influence, a key issue in the transformation of society.
Aimed at both novices and experts in the field of climate change, it's also a real serious game, designed to bring people together for debate, so that everyone can have fun and express their opinions.
2tonnes is the workshop that allows you to do just that!

Here's what they have to say...
Élise
Bon
Director of Environment at VINCI Autoroutes
"Thanks to the 2tonnes workshop, each employee will master the magnitude of the collective and individual transition levers, and the implications of this roadmap for their respective professions.
It's the perfect way to get everyone involved in this collective challenge!"
Stanislas
Guérini
Minister for Transformation and the Civil Service
"The 2tonnes workshop made a huge impression on me. It shows us that even if the climate objectives are ambitious, it is still possible to achieve them."
Maria
Bermudez
Programme des talents émergents chez Essilor
"Not only did the game encourage us to make realistic choices, but it was a truly engaging and eye-opening session. I got to understand which actions have the largest impact at an individual and a collective level, as well as how raising awareness can influence collective actions."
François
Eyraud
General Manager, Danone France
"I think it's a great experience, giving people the opportunity to share, exchange views and look for solutions. It's very active and involving, and it allows us to project ourselves into the future."
Laura
Odic
Workshop held at Inseec Chambéry
"Following the Climate Fresco, this workshop enabled me to become more aware of the activities, practices and habits I need to change in my daily life to limit my GHG emissions. Beyond personal considerations, it's also an excellent way of understanding public activities that are particularly harmful to the environment, and those on which we can only have a very limited impact."
Camille
Rainsard
HR Director at TSG Solutions
"I'm convinced of the power of individual influence to change behavior. Among my actions, I brought 2tonnes into my company by encouraging all management to take part in a workshop, and by becoming a facilitator myself."
Alexia
Rey
Co-founder and CEO of Neofarm
"I'd really recommend 2tonnes, whatever the size of the company, because the workshop makes us realize that, whatever our starting level, there are always levers to activate, and that it depends as much on the individual as on the company!"
