Model, sources and data
The 2tonnes workshop is an educational experience based on a data model to simulate, in a quantified way, low-carbon transition scenarios.
The data is therefore an educational tool and we are very demanding with regard to the accuracy of the model, and the sources used. They allow us to give the experiment coherence and credibility.
The calculation methodology during a 2-ton simulation is based on 3 models which interact with each other:
The carbon footprint model calculates the carbon footprints of participants and the population, using data from Ademe, OECD, FAO, etc.
The action model updates the characteristic data of the participants and the population, based on hypotheses from reference work on the subject (RTE, négaWatt, Ademe, etc.)
The influence model quantifies the societal dynamics taken into account in the simulation, drawing inspiration from notions from behavioral sciences.
